I Will Tell Film Festival 11
You are I will tell

I Will Tell is a conversation that started 5 years ago between festival director, Jenny Lee and an inspirational young woman called Anel on the plains of Thoera in Mozambique (see about the name for more information on this).

The people of Thoera are a spirited and courageous people, facing extreme hardship. Their desire for their story to be known inspired the idea of setting up a film festival that could tell, not only the story of Thoera but also of many other people who need to be heard.

Five years later, we are even more excited about telling those stories that would otherwise remain untold or that are just not told often enough.

We tell our stories because it's our way of leaving a legacy behind and because we want those who come after us to stand on our shoulders, rather than repeat our mistakes. We tell our stories because we understand that in doing so we take part in a hidden universal language that says we shall overcome. We tell our stories because we know there is power in the voice.

At the I Will Tell film festival we have sensational speakers and fabulous films to inspire you. But what truly makes each I Will Tell screening unique is the chance to hear your stories, your thoughts, your questions, your debate, your passion, your shout. That's why no two screenings are ever the same and that's why we say that you are I Will Tell.

What's more, I Will Tell is a not-for-profit festival, with profits being used to help those in need and to help more people to tell their own stories.

We look forward to you joining the conversation with us this year.
