The Forgiveness Project Workshop- Marina Cantacuzino
Date: Monday 5 September
Time:5:30pm - 7:00pm
The Forgiveness Project Workshop
“I have spent time with people in Chile and in Argentina whose families were murdered and tortured during the troubled histories of these countries. I have never heard a single one desire revenge. There is no more important undertaking than forgiveness… It is the most powerful weapon we have against terrorism and atrocity.” (Emma Thompson)
Join Marina Cantacuzino to explore inspirational and some challenging images and narratives of forgiveness from around the world. These narratives of hope tap into a deep public need for alternative and peaceful responses to hurt and violence. The stories reflect the complex, intriguing and deeply personal nature of forgiveness, occupying a space of inquiry and authenticity rather than dogma or the need to fix.
Marina founded the Forgiveness Project after working for many years as a freelance journalist. Marina knew she was far more moved by stories of forgiveness than of revenge.
